Day to day, we hold SO MUCH in our minds and hearts for ourselves and our families. To-do lists, grocery lists, event dates, appointments, food preferences, and it goes on.

Amidst this reality, we need to find space for ourselves–moments of ease where we can immerse ourselves in the joys and beauty of life.

If you’d love the relaxation benefits that come from having a garden, but don’t have that garden right now, visit Tova Cotton Pick Your Own flower farm. We are here to share this experience with you.

Wander our fields and snip your own bouquet of flowers for a centering experience

Stroll through rows of blooms and listen to bees buzzing around you. Dozens of colors and textures will surround as you take your time finding your favorite stems. There is no rush here.

Come one, come all

You may come to our Pick Your Own fields by yourself for a peaceful retreat.

You might come with a group of friends for a fun girls’ day away.

You may even schlep the kids here in the mini van.

Regardless, our pick your own flower farm is here to invite and restore.

We have curated our farm experience to cater to all.

Bringing the kids?

We have created many fun areas for kids to play, for those who want a peaceful retreat but can’t actually get away from the kids for the day.

Your kids will have space to run, play, snack, and laugh, enjoying their time on the farm. And you can snip, sniff, and breathe in a beautiful flower farm experience of your own.

You can slow down while you are here, enjoying the company of the flowers.

And when you return home, you will have a cheery bouquet of beautiful, local, sustainably-grown flowers. A reminder of your time here at Tova Cotton.

Growing these flowers transforms my life.

Daily, as a mom of four and full time farmer, I juggle many balls.

Deciding to create this flower farm was not a light-hearted decision on top of everything else I remember, plan, and produce for my family of six, but

seeking out beauty by creating this experience to share has become a well-spring of hope and inspiration in my life.

Planning, planting, and running a pick your own flower farm is a beautiful busy that fills my cup.

I chose to create a pick your own flower farm so that I could share with you the joy I get from growing.

Flowers on their own, sold in bunches at markets, are joy-bringers. But having a personal interaction with each flower in nature while you curate your own bouquet amplifies the joy immensely.

I’m really excited to share it with you—I can’t wait to see you at our farm!

When you can’t catch us at the farm, catch us at a market!

We will be at Mineral Farmer’s Market on Saturdays (8:00-12 pm) through their summer season, starting May 4

We will also be at Birdhouse Farmer’s Market in Richmond on certain dates through the season.

If there is enough interest, there will be the possibility to pre-order our flowers for pick-up at Birdhouse, even when we aren’t there in person!

Our “Bouquet Bar” will create a mini- PYO farm experience, where we will give tips and empower you to put together your own stunning bouquet.

Flowers shouldn’t feel intimidating or anxiety-inducing: you are creating a beautiful gift for someone you love—including yourself—so you should be able to have fun and feel confident doing it! We’re there to help.

We’re happy to send you home with a bouquet of blooms to tide you over ‘til you can come see the farm for yourself!

What we grow

From Ageratum to Zinnia, we have over 30 species of flowers growing on our farm, and for many of those species there are several varieties!

Are you looking for something specific or to come on a certain date and want to know what will be growing? Want to stroll through sunflowers, or bask in dahlias?

Here’s a guide that shows some of our most popular flowers and the most likely time to find them:

Mother Nature is the final decider of all, so please take this with a grain of salt!

If you have any questions about more specifics, please feel free to send us a message and ask!
